Velocity is not a member of oneworld, Star Alliance or SkyTeam. Instead it relies on a set of bilateral airline partnerships — Qatar Airways and Singapore Airlines are the two that matter most for premium-cabin value — which give its points genuine long-haul reach despite Virgin sitting outside the big alliances.
