Privacy and saved plans

Calculator inputs are used to calculate results in your browser. Some tools put their inputs in the address bar so a calculation can be bookmarked. A shared link includes those values; remove anything you do not want to share.

Saved plans

Plans saved on this device use browser storage. They are not an airline booking and do not reserve seats. Clear them using the saved-plan controls or your browser’s site-data settings. Anyone with access to your browser profile may be able to view them.

Usage analytics and your choice

We use Umami at analytics.6-e.com to understand which pages and tools people use and where things go wrong. Our integration records page paths, labelled interactions, coarse engagement measures and sanitised error categories. Planner events can include the selected programme, airport and airline codes, cabin, party size and counts of matches or validation issues.

We exclude address-bar query strings and fragments, typed searches, form values, saved plan contents, travel dates, flight numbers, notes, email addresses and points or cash balances. Outbound-link events contain the destination hostname and a sanitised path; their query strings and fragments are removed. Error reports contain a category and a technical grouping code, without the error message or stack.

This integration does not use analytics cookies, assign your own account identifier, record keystrokes or enable session replay. The analytics server receives connection information such as your IP address and browser metadata to process requests; Umami uses this to derive session, device and approximate location statistics. Our site does not send your name or loyalty account details. Analytics requests are separate from the calculator’s work in your browser.

You can switch usage analytics off below. We also respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control browser signals. Your choice is stored in this browser; clearing site storage removes that saved choice. Development and preview traffic is labelled separately from production traffic.

Approximate departure suggestions

On the home page, our server compares your connection IP address with a locally stored DB-IP database to suggest a nearby Australian departure airport. The lookup is approximate; mobile networks and VPNs can put you in another city. You can always change the airport. We do not request your device’s precise location, send your IP to a geolocation API, or store a location profile. If there is no suitable result, the form starts from Sydney. Your choice applies to the current page; it is not saved in a cookie. The random destination is independent of your IP location.

Optional email updates

When enabled, the newsletter sends your email address to Brevo to request confirmation. You are added through a double opt-in process. Use the unsubscribe link in an email to stop updates. We do not collect an address when the subscription service is disabled.

Hosting and availability requests

Our hosting server processes connection information to deliver pages. Availability requests send the route and date filters to the configured availability provider. These requests are separate from usage analytics. Do not enter account numbers, passwords or airline login credentials into our tools.

Correction reports

If you submit a correction, the page path, report text, consent and timestamp are stored privately on our server for editorial review. Do not include sensitive personal information. Reports are removed from active storage after 90 days. Private recovery copies expire within a further 30 days; published correction notes omit personal details.

External services

Airline, bank and hotel links take you to independent websites with their own privacy terms. We do not receive your airline password or complete bookings for you.
