This is travel content that can affect real financial decisions, so we hold our data to a clear standard. Here is exactly how we compile, date and verify everything on the site, and where the limits are.
Where our data comes from
We compile only factual, published information from official program and issuer sources — award charts, earn rates, transfer ratios and bonuses. Every data record stores the official source URL it came from and the date it was last verified against that source. We do not scrape sites behind logins, bot detection or captchas, and we do not attempt to defeat them.
Fixed vs dynamic pricing
The single most important distinction in award travel. A fixed award chart (for example Qantas Classic Flight Rewards) publishes an exact points price for a given zone and cabin, so we can show a real number. Dynamicredemptions (for example Qantas Classic Plus and most US programs) price seats variably against cash fares — there is no fixed chart, so we never publish a static points number for them. Instead we label them clearly and show “from / estimated” context only.
Freshness
Points programs change constantly — charts get devalued, bonuses come and go, cards are withdrawn. Every page shows a last-updated date, and individual records carry their own verification date. We refresh on an ongoing basis, but a date in the past means exactly that: confirm current details with the program or issuer before you act.
