Linking is not a household pool

Which BA chart are you looking at?
The table on our BA chart page is the multi-carrier reward-flight product. Its total-journey rules cannot be applied to every ordinary one-way flight simply by measuring the distance between two airports. British Airways multi-carrier table.
For an ordinary booking, obtain the actual points and cash quote from the booking program. For a multi-city itinerary, record every flight, operating carrier, surface sector and cabin. A map is useful for checking geography; it does not establish product eligibility or award inventory.
Keep price and availability separate
A chart reference answers a pricing question only within the chart’s scope. A bookable quote also needs dates, travellers and the flight product. Do not label a missing chart “dynamic” simply because the site has not encoded it.
When comparing BA and Qatar, record:

An Australian transfer sequence
- Find the flight in the program you intend to book through.
- Confirm that the points and cash quote covers everyone and every sector.
- Check your eligible Australian card edition and transfer ratio.
- Check whether account linking or an intermediate transfer is required.
- Allow for posting delays and obtain a hold if the program offers one for that booking.
- Transfer only after accepting the risk that availability may change, then complete ticketing.
