- How do I value hotel points?
- Divide the cash rate you'd actually pay (minus any taxes you'd still owe on the award night) by the points required. That cents-per-point figure tells you whether redeeming beats paying — compare it to what the points cost you to earn.
- Does a fixed chart or dynamic pricing give better value?
- Neither guarantees value. Compare the actual room and date quotes, including peak tiers, availability, mandatory fees and any confirmed multi-night benefit.
- Should I always use points for hotels?
- No. If the cash rate is low, paying cash and keeping your points for a high-value night is often smarter. The tool exists to stop you burning points when cash is the better deal.
