How long to earn
Pick an Australian points-earning card, a points target, and your usual monthly spend to estimate how much you'd spend — and how long it would take — to get there, with monthly caps and an optional eligible sign-up bonus.
Calculations use your inputs. Check each tool’s supported scope and last-updated date.
Use spending you already plan to make. Card interest, surcharges and excluded transactions can outweigh points. Annual fees and offer eligibility need a current issuer check.

- Does this include the sign-up bonus?
- Only when you opt in after checking eligibility and the recorded minimum spend fits your monthly budget. The estimate allows time to meet that spend; actual bonus posting can take longer.
- Should I spend more to earn points faster?
- No. Points are worth only a few cents each, so buying things you don't need to earn them is a guaranteed loss. The smart play is routing spending you'd do anyway — bills, big planned purchases — through the right card.
- Are these earn rates current?
- Earn rates and bonuses change often. Treat the result as an estimate and confirm the current rate and offer on the issuer's own page before applying.
